👋🏼 Hello, I’m Alanna but you can call me Aly for short. I'm a multidisciplinary designer and systems thinker who thrives at the intersection of business, human behavior, and aesthetics. I believe great design isn’t just what you see, it’s often what you don’t. Sometimes, creativity is all behind the scenes: in the strategy, the structure, the nuance, and the way every part of an experience fits together.

My journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University, where I developed a deep understanding of human behavior and motivation. This curiosity led me to the Master of Digital Experience Innovation program at the University of Waterloo, where I honed my ability to transform complex problems into impactful, user-centered solutions.

Today, I bring a unique hybrid approach to my work, blending UX/UI design, service design, research, systems thinking, digital marketing, and basic front-end development. I love the big picture: understanding how a product fits into a business model, exploring real-world problems through research, and then zooming in to craft elegant interfaces and prototypes.

Outside of the creative zone, I’m either baking, organizing something, or chasing the perfect balance between structure and spontaneity (both in life and Figma)
